I used the latest version in the Google play store. To my surprise it started working OK on my P9 Lite. I removed and reinstalled play services couple of times and I never got the problem back. So probably the latest play services update screwed up something on Huawei Devices but reinstalling play services helps.

I am using Emui 10.0.1.136 all google services will work except the maps, you have to use some old version of maps, in my case 10.49.3 worked . Secondly sigma key is providing the bootloader unlocking but i am not sure how it works but i have checked on their website for the supported huawei mobiles and it states the Model. JNY-LX1 .
