I did software remap (not Plug & Play) on my 2012 320d F30 a week ago and i must say, it's fun to drive. No issues noted so far, the car responds well in all 3 (4) driving modes. I am happy with my car, and not after speed, but if a remap adds mpg and a bit of torque, that would be nice [emoji4]. would it add torque or mpg? The customer asked us to rip it all out and provide him with a custom exhaust system with a DPF solution so we used T304 stainless steel pipes (2.5”) with mandrel bends (descaled) which gave this vehicle an instant change in sound and 100% flow. With our performance remap and DPF solution we managed figures. BMW F30 320D. A simple remap on the 320d takes you well into 530d performance territory. Pre-LCI 320d has problems with camshaft tensioners and chains, this is identifiable by a ringing noise from the engine. Post-2016 facelift cars come with improved suspension and steering, but it's not possible to find such LCI cars in your budget. Not necessarily. A mild remap with a 10 to 15% power increase shouldn't be a problem, especially if you don't rag the arse off it all the time. My car had such a remap about 50000 miles ago and has been fine. If you want more MPG though you'll be disappointed. Better to just re-educate your right foot. It is also pretty aggresive, but not completely wild. My 2005 320d model was the 125kW version with 350Nm stock. After the upgrade put the car on the dyno and its now pushing 142kW and 430Nm torque at the wheels. The car pulls very strong and I regularly outrun GTi 5's (stock) especially on inclines!! Jul 24, 2020. #1. Hi All, I would like to get an opinion on "Race Chip" as a product vs a proper ECU map on my car, which is a 2017 F30 BMW 320d (140kW). My car is about to go out of MP and has 92000 km. I use my car as a daily commute and do about 140 km per day. Looking at doing 30000 km per year and keeping the car for 1-2 years.
